Not everyone can attend the morning mindfulness session on Thursdays so in April we will restart our evening group, running fortnightly.
When asked ‘where is your mind now?’, many people will respond either that they were caught up in a memory of a past event, or they were thinking ahead to something that hasn’t happened yet.
Mindfulness is learning to recognise this tendency and paying attention to what is going on right now, the present moment. It waking up to where you are, what you see and how you feel.
Most importantly it is not analyzing, rather it is becoming aware of senses and in particular our breathing. Everyone has all they need to practice mindfulness, they just need to discover it, and we invite you to join us and do that at our evening mindfulness group.
