We offer a variety of training sessions covering neurodiverse conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia.
Supporting Autism and Neurodiversity (SAND) is a 6 week basic training course. Each 2hour 30 minute session includes a presentation and time for Q & A. The aim is for participants to attend all 6 sessions to build the knowledge required to support their individual(s) or themselves. The morning session is generic but will focus on young people aged from 2 – 15 years.
Week 3 will discuss processing differences, looking at the differences and impacts of brain diversity, and their impacts on function, considering practical strategies to minimise and manage the impact.
The course will be delivered via Zoom in partnership with DIFFERabled, and places can be booked by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name, postcode (only first three digits) & a very brief bio on what the benefits of the sessions could support you with (e.g. My name is Jean, postcode G62, & I am mum/dad/carer/grandparent/aunt/uncle etc. of a daughter/son etc. who is aged 4yrs/35yrs, diagnosed/undiagnosed with whatever neurodiverse condition). This will give an insight into where to aim the sessions.
