Request for a Reference

If you have been asked to be a reference on a new application for a voluntary position at Carers Link, we would be very grateful if you could fill out the form below.

Carers Link is committed to providing quality services to Carers in East Dunbartonshire.  Involving volunteers is part of this commitment and we will ensure that they receive training and ongoing support.  Volunteers provide emotional support to Carers, assist staff at Carer support groups and training, meet Carers for a chat over a coffee, help transport young cares to support and social events, raise awareness of Carers Link and Carers issues and generally help around the office.

You are not obliged to provide a reference, but if you do so, you are under a legal obligation not to misrepresent negligently or fraudulently the subject of a reference.  If you have any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Under GDPR, the applicant has the right to access this reference.  Should such a request be made, Carers Link will notify you of the request and ascertain whether you wish your identity to be withheld when access is granted
