Young Carers
Wellbeing Support
Wellbeing is described as the quality of your life. It is a changing feeling that we can improve when we can fulfil our personal and social goals. It is measured in many different ways and it is the things we do and say that help us improve our wellbeing.
Many young carers try to find a balance between their caring role, education and being sociable and as a young carer we know it is likely you are supporting others and not taking time for yourself. Young carers can often face feelings of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, lack of confidence and isolation. Here at Carers Link we have some resources for young carers to support your wellbeing:
Wellbeing Wheel
Here are wellbeing indicators which help make it easier for young carers to discuss how they are doing at a point in time and if there is a need for support.

Young Carer Statement
As a Young Carer you are entitled to a Young Carers Statement. The purpose of this is to identify your needs and how these affect your wellbeing, and to plan for the future.
We are normally open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00 pm, but appointments (by phone or online) out with these hours can be arranged. Currently mail is not being picked up from the office on a regular basis so if possible please email or phone us. During evenings and weekends, if you or someone you know requires urgent social work support, please call 0800 811 505.
